But our mission is not only to bring magic to consumers but also to our planet by carrying a Negative Plastic and Carbon Footprint. By partnering with RePurpose we are able to go beyond our own waste footprint and get ahead on our quest to make the world a better one.
We believe that customers, companies and also employees are – same as ourselves – on a quest to make the world a better one. We believe that all small steps lead to progress, the right direction and to finally hit the goal.

Our Story
NOVELTEA is crafted to help celebrate those little wins in life. The magical moments that are easily forgotten but so important to be appreciated.
But at the same time let’s be honest. We also leave our footprint with every NOVELTEA bottle produced on our wonderful blue and green planet.
Becoming a certified B Corporation has been a long term goal for us which we are proud to say we achieved in February 2022. Being a B Corp means we have achieved the highest standards of social and economic performance.

Our NOVELTEAM
Carbon
Going Carbon-Neutral is nice, but going Carbon-Negative is best-in-class, which has always been the aim for our brand and us as a business. We therefore offset twice as much carbon as we produce.
Having said that, the most important carbon responsibility is still in front of us. As we know, offsetting is not enough and should only be the last resource. Hence, our annual goals are to reduce carbon and plastic consumption by 10% YoY.
To offset our carbon we work with a couple of charities to help accomplish this
Plastic
We have reduced plastic in our supply chain. Where this is not yet possible we support ocean clean up initiatives, funding the clean up of TWICE the amount of plastic as we produce.
Our RePurpose certification allowed us to calculate, reduce and offset the amount of plastic remaining in our business.
Recycling
We recycle as much as possible in our supply-chain. The cases we use for pallet shipments were redesigned so that we can re-use them for online shipments.
Our packaging is plastic free and we have introduced have how to recycle labels to our products.
Animal Welfare
As a NOVELTEA-Fan you will know that all our products are 100% vegan and that we never have, and never will, test on animals.
Ethical Sourcing
The suppliers we work with to source and select our teas have set the standards for ethical tea sourcing for almost 100 years. We only work with label suppliers who use plastic-free and FSC-certified paper material to protect our forests. Part of our packaging is made using windmill energy and many of our suppliers are already carbon-neutral. We are working with our cork-supplier on a new technology re-using remaining tea-leaves that are left after our cold-brew process, to enrich a circular economy and to reduce carbon. More and more we are sourcing from suppliers that are using renewable energy, but we still have a long way to go. We are therefore actively searching for best-in-class suppliers and encourage existing and new ones to do more.

We actively promote a bonus, share options and have a shareholding structure that consists of over 1,500 individuals that benefit from NOVELTEA’s success.
